The book is authored by Laurie Helgoe
The book explains in detail the perspectives and preferences of an introverted mind. With a good amount of research, the author concludes that introverts form a majority in the society, as opposed to the notion which says otherwise.
For quite sometime now, the world at large has celebrated extroversion rather indiscrimintely, at the cost of introversion. The author details all the ill effects of such a lopsided attitude and the excrutiating agony imposed on mankind by it.
The author goes further to boost the morale of introverts and encourages them to celebrate their lives. She talks about various ways in which an introvert can assert oneself without guilt or shame.
Towards the end, the author stresses the importance of co-existance of introverts and extroverts and how the two need to compliment each other for a fuller, richer and more meaningful life.

Ageless Body, Timeless Mind
The book is authored by Deepak Chopra.
The author's most important point in this book is to invalidate the popularly held misconception of mankind since ages : as we grow 'older', we lose control over our bodies and just wither and die, and we are helpless about it.
With a remarkable amount of scientific research the author provides evidence to state that our bodies are a product of our thoughts. That our bodies undergo changes every moment, based on changes in our thought patterns is both relieving and threatening. Relieving to know that we always can have control over our thoughts, and therefore our bodies, threatening that we better take care of what we think; we are responsible for what we think, feel, believe and what we are, so we better make a wise choice always.
The author lists the impact of different emotions on the body. Our bodies are not static solids, as we imagine them to be, but dynamic processes, which are subtly dictated by our minds. Spirit is the basis for material reality, not the other way round.
The author stresses the importance of uplifting and positive states of mind experienced by people when they are in love. It is love alone that sustains. Choose love over hatred, contentment over vanity and greed and life over death.
My recommendation: Must Read

Same Soul, Many Bodies
The book is authored by Brian L Wiess.
The book records classic case studies who were not only regressed to the past but also progressed into the future. The author observes that our future is very dynamic, contrary to the popular belief that our destiny is "fixed".
Our present is a product of our past and our future will be a product of our present. More than the events that happen in our life at any given point in time, the attitude and outlook with which we perceive the events play a vital role in shaping our future. Hence we do have a choice in shaping our future, which is by changing our present attitudes, if they dont serve our purpose.
However, progressing into the future can give us a glimpse of our probable future, considering our present state of mind. Then it is upto the individual, whether to continue in the present state of mind or to change, depending on his/ her choice of the future.
The book is very thought provoking as well as inspiring. My recommendation: Must read

The Last Day of My Life
The book is authored by Jim Morret. The book records the musings of the author on his life and its lessons.
The author contemplates on the last day of his life, just one day, after which he decides to end his life. That period of 24 hrs actually gets his entire life rolling out in front of his mind's eye and defines his life purpose for him and opens the pathway for leading a much fuller and meaningful life.
The author describes various people and situations in his life that have deeply touched him and enriched his life with a bounty of their own. He, being a much adored television anchor and interviewer, puts the spotlight on himself and records the mega event of his life.
One particular statement that awed me is "Most of us are too quick to identify success with fortunes made from our possessions, but what matters most is how we have touched the lives of those around us.."
My Recommendation: Must Read

Empowering Women
The book is authored by Louise L Hay.
If you have read her books "You can Heal your Life" and "The Power is Within You", you may find that this book is a synthesis of the application part of the fundas written in those 2 books in the area of women empowerment.
If you are a woman who feels inadequate because you either don't have a man in your life or if you have a poor relationship with the man in your life; or a strong woman with a deep desire to reach out to other women, this book is a must read.
The book talks about what you, as a woman can do to live a life of completeness.

The Power is Within You
The book is authored by Louise L Hay. Yes, the same person, who authored "You can Heal your Life"
As the title suggests, the main theme of this book is YOU, i.e. the individual self. While it has been a widely practised tendency to blame other people, situations, fate, etc for the 'bad' patterns in our lives, this book points out the major flaw of this perception.
Yes, we do face hardships, yes we sometimes stay in the receiving end of bad behaviors of those around us. But we, as individuals, do have the power to put ourselves in places we like to be, by simply acknowledging our own selves and understanding our roles.
All it takes is a shift in our perception. The book is very inspiring to all those who have this plain intention of living their lives completely fulfilled. I may think of summing up the essence of the book in a sentence like "If you want love in your life, start treating yourself with love".
My recommendation: Must Read

The Road Less Travelled
The book is authored by Scott Peck.
The author speaks about his understading of the concept of discipline. The author opines that life is essentially a series of challenges aimed at streching our mental, emotional and spiritual capabilities.
He goes on to talk about love as a passing emotion as well a state of mind. While the former is just a glimpse of the grandeur of life, the latter can make one stay in that grandeur.
Neither religion nor science can completely explain the mystery and awe of life. It is upto us to keep our vision unbiassed if we are to taste and bask in the glory of life.
As you make the decision of living a fuller life by accepting both the so called ups and downs, you begin to experience a sense of oneness with the entire cosmos along with a sense of perinnial fulfillment and happiness that does not diminish with passage of time, but only grows!
This is a good read for a wide range of audience as it synthesizes diametrically opposite patterns of thought about life as perceived by the society.
My recommendation: Good to Read
